Mohanlal’s ‘Chotta Mumbai’ gears up for a theatrical re-release

The 2007 Mohanlal-starrer ‘Chotta Mumbai’, directed by Anwar Rasheed, is set for a re-release. The film, in which Mohanlal delivered a memorable performance as Vasco da Gama, remains a fan favourite even today.
The news of the re-release was shared by Niranj Maniyanpilla Raju, son of Maniyanpilla Raju, who originally produced the film.
Responding to a fan’s comment on Instagram asking whether ‘Chotta Mumbai’ would be re-released in 4K, Niranj confirmed the news. A screenshot of this exchange has since been trending on social media.
Following the re-releases of ‘Spadikam’, ‘Devadoothan’, and ‘Manichitrathazhu’, ‘Chotta Mumbai’ is the latest Mohanlal film to return to theatres.
The film features an ensemble cast, including Bhavana, Kalabhavan Mani, Vinayakan, Jagathy Sreekumar, Rajan P Dev, Siddique, Bijukuttan, Manikuttan, and Sai Kumar. Its songs and mass dialogues continue to trend even today.
