Veteran superstar Mohanlal who celebrated his 65th birthday on Wednesday spent the special day with his family in Thailand. The actor's daughter Vismaya shared a photo from the celebration on her social media feeds. She captioned the pic: A beautiful day. Happy birthday acha, we love youuu," she wrote. Mohanlal's wife Suchitra and son Pranav were also seen posing for the photos.

Mohanlal's close friend Sameer Hamsa also shared pictures with Malayalam's favourite star. This year's birthday was special for the actor who is also celebrating the huge success of the Tharun Moorthy movie 'Thudarum'. Mammootty, Prithviraj, Manju Warrier joined the list of celebrities who wished happiness and a long life for the actor.

Yesteryear actress Karthika and the team of 'Unnikale Oru Katha Parayam' alos wished screen icon Mohanlal on his birthday. The ‘child’ stars of the movie wished him good health as well as greater success in life. Yadhu Krishnan, Vidhu Krishnan, Vimal, Boban, Prashob, Chaitanya, Karthik, Vidya, Abhijith, and Swapna who acted in the movie as child artists also wished their favourite actor.

Karthika, the heroine of the movie, joined them as she wished her co–star. “Hai Lalu, Happy Birthday! May God bless you with health and happiness. I know that this year’s birthday is quite special. No one has conquered the box office as you did. Malayalis all over the world wish to celebrate this day. May this be a day filled with blessings,” Karthika wished.
