Will I get justice before I die: Bala’s ex‑partner posts video from hospital

Dr Elizabeth Udayan, former partner of actor Bala, has released a video from her hospital bed stating that if anything happens to her, her former husband and his family should be held responsible. In the video, she is seen lying in bed with a medical tube attached to her nose.

Elizabeth says she has filed multiple complaints over the years but has not received justice. She had raised the issue on social media, approached the Chief Minister, and taken the matter to court. Despite these efforts, she says there has been little progress. “Will I get justice before I die?” she captioned the video.

She claims that she has been subjected to threats and counter cases aimed at discrediting her. According to Elizabeth, while there were public events and interviews where she was introduced as a wife, the man and his family now deny the marriage. She says police initially visited her home but no further action was taken. Court proceedings, she adds, have been delayed several times, with either the accused or his lawyer failing to appear.

Elizabeth also refers to the financial status of the accused, noting that despite claims of significant wealth, he has cited lack of funds in court. She says that after years of pursuing the case, she is exhausted and disheartened by what she describes as a lack of support from the system.

She has not disclosed the hospital where she is admitted or details about her current health condition. However, she states that she wanted to record the video to make her situation clear.
“The complaints are on record,” she says in the video. “If anything happens to me, it is because of him and his family.”
