Actor Nivin Pauly has broken his silence on the cheating case registered against him and director Abrid Shine. In a statement shared on his Instagram stories on Thursday, Nivin clarified that the matter is already under court directed arbitration since June 28, 2025, with a gag order in place to maintain confidentiality.
“Despite this, a new case has been registered without respecting the court’s directions and by concealing the ongoing arbitration proceedings and manipulating facts,” Nivin wrote. He added that he would be pursuing legal action, ending his note with a firm message: “The truth will prevail.”
The case was filed by producer P.S. Shamnas, who alleges that after the failure of ‘Mahaveeryar’ (2022), Nivin had agreed to return ₹95 lakh and give him co-producer credit in ‘Action Hero Biju 2’. Shamnas claims he later paid ₹1.90 crore towards the sequel’s production expenses, but that overseas rights worth around ₹5 crore were misrepresented to a Dubai-based distributor, causing financial loss. The FIR is currently under investigation at Thalayolaparambu police station.
