Meenakshi Dileep takes the spotlight at 'Prince and Family' success meet

Actor Dileep's daughter, Meenakshi Dileep, recently made a notable appearance at the success meet of her father's latest film, 'Prince and Family'. While Dileep’s emotional speech garnered much attention, it was Meenakshi who quickly became the centre of focus as she showed her support for her father.

Among the viral videos from the event, one particular moment stood out. In it, Dileep calls Meenakshi onto the stage to join him and the rest of the team for a photo. The father-daughter duo shared a sweet and endearing interaction that caught the attention of netizens. Meenakshi, dressed in a maroonish-red salwar, kept things simple and supportive as she stood by her father.

During the success meet, Dileep became emotional as he reflected on his early days in the film industry. He spoke about his humble beginnings, recalling that his cinematic journey began with him clapping the slate in front of Mohanlal. Over the years, Dileep said, he learned the craft by observing industry stalwarts like Mohanlal, Mukesh, Sreenivasan, Saikumar, Siddique, and Jagathy.

Shifting from an assistant director to an actor was no easy feat for Dileep, but he credited the warmth and guidance from senior artists for giving him the confidence to take that leap. Expressing his gratitude, Dileep thanked producer Listin Stephen for trusting him with the film, calling it a bold decision. He also emphasised the significance of the film completing 60 days in theatres, a remarkable achievement in an era where most films disappear from screens within just a few weeks.
