Actor Seema G Nair has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of veteran artist Kalabhavan Navas. The two had recently worked together in the film 'Detective Ujjwalan', which featured Dhyan Sreenivasan in the lead.
In an emotional note, Seema recalled her long-standing acquaintance with Navas and how shaken she was by his sudden demise.

“Kalabhavan Navas has passed away… Heartfelt condolences… Our last film together was 'Detective Ujjwalan'. I’ve known Navas for so many years. Oh God, I can’t even process this… I can’t bear it, I can’t believe it,” she wrote.
Navas passed away shortly after completing work on his latest film, 'Prakambanam', directed by Vijesh Panathoor. He played a significant role in the film, whose shoot was wrapped up earlier today.

Following the shoot, Navas returned to his hotel room in Chottanikkara to pack up and head home. He had been staying at the hotel for the past 25 days, along with the rest of the cast and crew.
After the other actors had checked out, hotel staff noticed that Navas had not emerged from his room. When repeated calls from the reception went unanswered, a room boy was sent to check. The door was found ajar—and Navas was discovered lying unconscious on the floor.

According to the hotel owner, Navas was still alive when he was rushed to the hospital. However, he could not be saved. His body is currently being kept at a private hospital in Chottanikkara.
Navas had recently been an active presence at the general body meeting of AMMA, the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists, where he remained a familiar and respected figure in the industry.
