Actor Keerthy Suresh remembered her late childhood friend Maneesha on her birthday with a heartfelt Instagram post. A year after Maneesha’s passing, Keerthy shared how deeply the loss continues to affect her.
“There hasn’t been a day I haven’t thought about you, especially today,” she wrote. “The vacuum of losing a friend can never be filled. Going through our chats, listening to your voice notes… I still hold on to everything. Never seen a fighter like you.”

Maneesha passed away last year after battling a brain tumour for over eight years. Keerthy had previously spoken about her friend’s strength, recalling their final conversation after her third surgery. “She cried saying she couldn’t take the pain anymore. I held back my emotions until I stepped out and cried all the way through the hospital corridor,” she had written then.
On what would have been Maneesha’s birthday, Keerthy signed off her post saying, “I hope the other side is keeping you at peace. You’ll always be missed.”
