The Fahadh Faasil, Kalyani Priyadarshan-starrer ‘Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira’ is expected to hit the screens this Onam, creating much anticipation among Malayalis. The movie is directed by ‘Nyandukalude Naatil Oridavela’ director Althaf Salim. Though the trailer, does not reveal how exactly the story would progress, it is evident that Fahadh who plays Aby in the movie is in love with Kalyani’s character. The trailer, which was released on Sunday featuring Fahadh Faasil as Aby who is in love with Kalyani’s character.

The trailer opens with Kalyani Priyadarshan's character telling Aby (Fahadh Faasil) about her recurring dream of a plump horse that looks like white halwa. Determined to make her happy, Aby sets out to find such a horse. While his friends insist that Kalyani is not just a little eccentric but completely offbeat, Aby remains devoted to her, ignoring their warnings.
Taking to her social media timelines, actress Kalyani Priyadarshan, who plays the female lead in the film, shared the link to the trailer and wrote, "OUR TRAILER IS HERE! Hop on! In cinemas for Onam, 29th Aug." It may be recalled that Kalyani Priyadarshan had, at the time of the first look poster of the film, said, “Their love story was perfect... until the wedding.”

This is Althaf Salim’s second film after his debut film, ‘Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela’, which impressed both critics and film buffs. ‘Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela’ featured Nivin Pauly in the lead along with Aishwarya Lekshmi. Shanthi Krishna, Siju Wilson, Ahaana Krishna, Lal ,and Sharafudeen played pivotal roles.

Althaf Salim, in an earlier interview with a media publication, had informed that 70 per cent of ‘Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira’ had been shot in Ernakulam in Kerala and the remaining 30 per cent in Chennai. The film, a light-hearted entertainer, went on floors in April 2024 and was initially expected to hit theatres during Vishu. However, now, the makers have revealed that the film would be screened from August 29.

The cinematography is by Jinto George, while Justin Varghese has composed the music. Sundar Nayak is the film’s editor. Ouseph John is the film’s art director, while the costumes are designed by Mashar Hamsa. The film has been produced by Ashiq Usman.
