Naslen-Kalyani starrer ‘Lokah – Chapter One: Chandra’ gears up for grand theatre release

Malayalam cinema is about to meet its first-ever female superhero — and she arrives with a playful grin and a powerful punch. In ‘Lokah – Chapter One: Chandra’, Kalyani Priyadarshan takes the leap from relatable girl-next-door roles into a larger-than-life action hero, alongside the ever-energetic Naslen.

The film, written and directed by Dominic Arun, kicks off an ambitious new superhero cinematic universe titled ‘Lokah’. Mounted on a grand scale, ‘Chandra’ promises a backdrop and visual tone that the industry hasn’t quite seen before. The first-look poster and teaser have already sparked conversations online, teasing Kalyani’s transformation into a cape-worthy icon.

The cast also features Chandhu Salim Kumar, Arun Kurian, and Shanti Balachandran in pivotal roles, adding heart and humour to the action-heavy narrative.
As per the latest update, the film will hit theatres as an Onam release, arriving as Wayfarer Films’ seventh production under Dulquer Salmaan’s banner. With its youthful vibe, mega budget, and superhero swagger, ‘Lokah – Chapter One: Chandra’ is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing entries in this year’s Malayalam film calendar.
