Actor Antony Varghese Pepe has shown that a touch of humour and composure can go a long way in handling criticism. The star, who headlines the upcoming film ‘Kaattalan’, recently responded to a negative comment under the film’s poster — and social media is applauding his grace under fire.

Beneath the ‘Kaattalan’ poster, a user had remarked, “What’s the point, isn’t Pepe the hero?” Rather than taking offence, Antony tagged the commenter and replied, “Bro… why talk like that? We’ve just started… everything will get set.” The good-natured comeback struck a chord with fans, who praised the actor for turning negativity into a lighthearted exchange. Many even called it a “model response” for online interactions.

The film is produced by Shareef Muhammed under the Cubes Entertainments banner and directed by debutant Paul Varghese. Mounted as a pan-Indian project with a budget of ₹45 crore, the action sequences are choreographed by internationally renowned stunt director Kecha Khamphakdee, known for his work in ‘Ponniyin Selvan: Part One’, ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’, ‘Jawan’, ‘Baaghi 2’ and ‘Ong-Bak 2’.

The music is composed by celebrated Kannada composer B. Ajaneesh Loknath. Touted to be an action thriller, ‘Kaattalan’ promises high-octane sequences and mass moments — and with Pepe’s latest display of charm off-screen, anticipation for the film has only grown stronger.
