He doesn’t tell me anything: Shah Rukh Khan reacts to Aryan Khan’s directorial debut

Shah Rukh Khan recently gave fans a glimpse into his relationship with son Aryan Khan during an #AskSRK session on X (formerly Twitter). Responding to a question about Aryan’s much-anticipated directorial debut, "Ba**ds of Bollywood"*, the superstar said, “Beta show bana raha hai, Baap sirf wait kar raha hai… @NetflixIndia Tum kya kar rahe ho?” (The son is making a show, the father is just waiting. Netflix, what are you doing?)

Netflix replied with a playful update: “Bete ka teaser post karne se pehle baap se permission chahiye thi.” (We needed the father’s permission before posting the teaser.)

Shah Rukh, in his signature charm, responded: “Yes yes yes. Please tell me the time also as Aryan doesn’t tell me anything… Too excited. Here’s to a great First Look. Thanks.”
When asked about his favourite recent shows and films, SRK revealed he had watched a bit of "Ba**ds of Bollywood"*, calling it “very endearing and funny.”

Another fan asked whether Aryan would be launched as an actor. Khan replied: “Give him love as a Director in Ba**ds of Bollywood when you watch it. Abhi ghar mein competition nahi chahiye…”* (Don’t need competition at home just yet.)

Although details about the project remain under wraps, excitement continues to build. Actor Anil Kapoor added to the buzz, comparing Aryan to legendary filmmaker Manmohan Desai. Sharing a promo of the series, he wrote: “With the Dyavol in the Director's chair, #TheBadsofBollywood is a sureshot blockbuster. Aryan, you remind me of a young Manmohan Desai… Congratulations to you, to @iamsrk and the entire family for such a kickass debut.”
With Netflix dropping the first look soon, Aryan Khan's directorial debut is already generating major anticipation across the industry and among fans alike.
