Filming has begun for 'Aashakal Aayiram', featuring Jayaram and his son Kalidas in the lead roles. This marks the first time in 22 years that the father-son duo will appear on screen together. Jayaram and his daughter Malavika initiated the pooja ceremony for the project.

The movie is directed by G. Prajeeth, known for the popular films 'A Northern Selfie' and 'Sathyam Paranja Vishwasikkuvo?'. It is produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies. The pooja ceremony took place at Onam Park in Kakkanad.

The female lead is Ishaani Krishna, daughter of actor Krishnakumar and younger sister of Ahaana Krishna. Ishaani previously garnered attention for her performance in 'One', starring Mammootty. Other key actors in the film include Sai Kumar, Aju Varghese, Asha Sharath, Baiju Santosh, and more.

The creative team features Jude Anthany Joseph as the creative director, with the screenplay by Aravind Rajendran and Jude Anthany Joseph. Music is composed by Sanal Dev, cinematography is handled by Swaroop Philip, and editing is by Shafeeq V.B. Art direction is managed by Nimesh Thanur.
