Malavika, daughter of actors Jayaram and Parvathy, has never considered acting in films. She explained that even before her marriage, the idea of becoming an actor had never crossed her mind. She was speaking at the pooja ceremony of the upcoming film ‘Aashakal Aayiram’, which will see her father Jayaram and brother Kalidas sharing the screen.

She clarified that her decision had nothing to do with marriage. Acting was never on her radar, and that has not changed over the years. With her father and brother already working together, Malavika feels there is no need for her to step in. She also mentioned that their bond is evident even at home.

Reflecting on their earlier collaboration, she said that watching them now reminds her of the time they acted together in ‘Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum’ nearly 25 years ago. To her, Jayaram and Kalidas cannot be compared, as they are very different individuals with distinct approaches to cinema. Yet, when those unique qualities come together, she feels a certain magic is created on screen.

Malavika attended the ceremony with her husband Navaneeth, a chartered accountant from Palakkad who is currently based in the UK. After completing her graduation at Stella Maris College in Chennai, she pursued post-graduation in Sports Management at a university in the UK. She has often stated that her interests lie more in sports than in cinema.

Although she has been clear about not wanting to act in films, Malavika has appeared in the music video ‘Maayam Seithaai Poovae’ and also featured in a commercial.
