Screen icon Mammootty has been away from the spotlight reportedly due to health issues. According to close friends in the industry, the actor has now made a full recovery and will soon return to acting. His colleagues are elated and have taken to social media to express their joy.

Veteran filmmaker Siby Malayil wrote, “I have prayed to hear this news.” Manju Warrier posted, “Welcome back Tiger,” along with a photo with Mammootty, while Tovino was equally excited to welcome back ‘the chief’

Meanwhile, Mala Parvathy who thanked the doctors at the hospital where Mammootty sought treatment declared, “Finally, the king is back”! Uma Thomas MLA also shared how Mammooty was among the first to send her wishes when she regained consciousness after her near-fatal fall last year. She wrote how she knew the power of prayer and was happy that Mammootty too was able to make a comeback through prayers from countless people.
BJP leader K Surendran wrote: Malayalis’ favourite actor Mammootty has regained health and is returning after a short break. I wish him good health.

George who is Mammootty’s closest aide also shared his relief on social media. “Dear Mammookka, you have many more years left to guide us by holding our hands. We are waiting for your countless moments of great acting. I feel relaxed as I hear this good news,” posted George who is Mammootty’s close aide.  
John Brittas MP also wrote: Your mind wouldn’t wither under stress. You wouldn’t bow down when life throws you challenges. You face the greatest storm with a calming smile. The terrible force of downpour doesn’t hurt you. With head held high, you stand on the rock of confidence.
‘Double ok’, wrote filmmaker Ratheena. Midhun Manuel Thomas too welcomed Mammootty back with a heart emoji.
