The first executive committee meeting of AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists) following the recent elections was held at the association’s head office in Kaloor, Kochi. Notably, this also marked AMMA’s 32nd executive committee meeting. Newly elected president Shwetha Menon briefed the media about the key decisions made during the session. The meeting was attended by Shwetha Menon, general secretary Kuku Parameshwaran, executive committee members, and other actors. Those unable to attend in person participated online.

Shwetha Menon, who appeared confident and optimistic, described the gathering as one of the best executive committee meetings to date. She emphasised that AMMA’s primary focus moving forward would be ensuring the safety and well-being of its members. Addressing recent controversies, Shwetha announced that a special committee will be formed to investigate allegations involving the summoning of some female members to a hotel, where visuals of them voicing complaints were reportedly recorded and stored on a memory card. She assured that the executive committee had taken the matter seriously and discussed the concerns raised by members in detail.
