The teaser of ‘Kalamkaval’, a thriller directed by newcomer Jithin K. Jose and starring Mammootty and Vinayakan in the lead roles, has been released. The biggest highlight of the teaser is Mammootty in a never-before-seen avatar.
The actor is introduced in a check shirt and sunglasses, with a cigarette perched on his lips — the same look that was earlier teased in the film’s poster. In a single striking shot, Mammootty lifts his shades to reveal a piercing gaze brimming with arrogance and disdain. Vinayakan, on the other hand, is seen in a more serious and intense role.

Just a day ago, the makers unveiled the film’s poster, which had already created considerable buzz among fans. It presented Mammootty in a mysterious, unconventional look, adding to the intrigue. Earlier stills from the film had also generated wide attention.

‘Kalamkaval’ is produced under the banner of Mammootty Kampany and will be distributed in Kerala by Wayfarer Films. The screenplay is written by Jishnu Sreekumar and Jithin K. Jose. Jithin, who earned recognition for crafting the story of the Dulquer Salmaan-starrer hit ‘Kurup’, makes his directorial debut with this project. This also marks the seventh production venture of Mammootty Kampany.
