Viral dialogue from ‘Kummattikkali’ gets playful response from Madhav Suresh

Madhav Suresh, son of veteran actor Suresh Gopi, made his debut as a lead in ‘Kummattikkali’. But instead of the film itself, it was one of his dialogues that quickly became a social media sensation. The line — “Enthinada konnittu… nammal anaatharanu… gundakal alla” (“Why did you kill… we are orphans, not goons”) — was lifted from a scene and turned into meme material, sparking a wave of online trolls.
Rather than ignore the trend, Madhav decided to join in on the fun. Teaming up with friends, he reimagined the viral dialogue as a song and shared a video online. With a tongue-in-cheek caption suggesting that he was enough to troll himself, the actor showed he could take the jokes in stride.
Madhav has also spoken candidly about the criticism that followed his performance. He admitted that his work in ‘Kummattikkali’ was not his best and that the film itself did not turn out the way it was envisioned. Still, he expressed surprise at being the only one targeted by trolls, with some even suggesting he should quit acting.
He made it clear that he isn’t ready to give up. Madhav said he wanted to test his potential through experience — if he failed after trying, he would accept it, but until then he intended to stay in cinema. Looking back, he acknowledged that he could have chosen more carefully before taking up the project, but added that his next film was very different from ‘Kummattikkali’.
The actor also reflected on the realities of filmmaking. Scripts, he explained, often sound grand during narration, with ambitious budgets and big canvases. But once shooting begins, the final product can turn out very differently — a situation faced not just by him, but by actors across the industry.
