Producer Sandra Thomas has embarked on a new journey by studying law. She has enrolled in a three-year LL.B program at Christ Law Academy in Bengaluru, a decision shaped by recent events and the demands of running her business. Sandra told Manorama Online that studying law is essential and believes that if legal education had been introduced from school days, it would have benefited ordinary people as well.

Reflecting on her choice, Sandra said she realised the need to study law after entering the business world. She found herself discussing recent cases and matters extensively with both her civil and criminal lawyers. On the same day, both suggested that she pursue an LL.B, which she felt was a divine sign. During the COVID period, her mother had also encouraged her to study law, but at the time she had not acted on it. Now, the circumstances seemed to point in the same direction.

Sandra hopes that legal knowledge will be a strength in her future journey and in her business ventures. She believes it will help her grow and noted that if law had been taught from school days, people could have handled even minor cases themselves. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

Acknowledging the challenge ahead, Sandra said the journey will not be easy. She has to balance her films and other businesses while pursuing this degree. She is living and studying in Bengaluru while keeping her two children and family back home. She is committed to attending classes regularly and giving her full attention to her studies. Sandra hopes that her new venture will inspire many women who follow her.
