Actor-turned-writer Santhy Balachandran, who co-wrote Lokah alongside director Dominic Arun, is currently basking in the success of the film. Taking to social media, Santhy shared a heartfelt note appreciating the incredible team of women who worked tirelessly to bring the story and characters to life.
She posted a few behind-the-scenes photos with the crew and personally thanked many of the women who played key roles in the production. The team included camera associate Nikhila Lal, assistant director Swetha Suresh, hairstylist Radhika (for Kalyani), personal assistant Sathya Akka, actor Nithya Shri, costume designers Archanaa Khil Rao, child actor Durga C Vinod, Quy Truong, colourist Yashika Routray, among others.
She wrote: This is to celebrate the army of women who worked on Lokah — both before and behind the screen. Our film would not be what it is without the talent, commitment and energy you brought on set each day. I remember each instance where you showed up for the team and for each other. The focus and efficiency you worked with, the good humour and care with which you helped everyone navigate the gruelling shoot and the crazy post-production schedule is so deeply appreciated. I may have missed a few people who joined us briefly, but you are all special to me. If you are a woman who has worked in the film but are missing from this carousel, could you comment so I can thank you individually? Thank you. Love also to all the men starting from our Captain who helped create a positive and safe environment on set so the girls could focus on the job at hand.
