Mohanlal and Sathyan Anthikad’s latest outing, ‘Hridayapoorvam’, has officially joined the 50-crore club. This is the superstar’s third consecutive release this year to achieve the milestone, with the announcement made by Mohanlal himself on social media.

The family drama opened strongly with ₹8.42 crore on day one, followed by ₹7.93 crore on the second day and ₹8.66 crore on the third, maintaining its momentum at the global box office. Earlier in 2025, Mohanlal’s films ‘Empuraan’ and ‘Thudarum’ together grossed more than ₹200 crore, with ‘Empuraan’ holding the record for the highest worldwide collection ever for a Malayalam film.

Mohanlal also has the distinction of delivering the first Malayalam film to enter the 50-crore club — the 2013 blockbuster ‘Drishyam’.

A decade after their last collaboration, ‘Hridayapoorvam’ reunites Mohanlal with director Sathyan Anthikad. The film has been drawing praise from audiences and continues its successful theatrical run.
