Asif Ali’s ‘Sarkeet’ released in theatres on May 8, 2025, and earned attention for its sensitive theme and strong performances. Directed by Thamar, the film blends the struggles of two very different lives in the Gulf.
One of them is Jakku, a young boy with ADHD, played convincingly by Orhan Hyder. His parents, portrayed by Deepak Parambol and Divya Prabha, try to raise him with care even as society struggles to accept him. The other is Amir, brought to life by Asif Ali, a man desperately seeking work abroad.
