First birthday without him: Kavya Madhavan opens up about her father’s love and guidance

Kavya’s father, P. Madhavan, passed away in June this year. From the very beginning of her career in cinema, he was a constant source of support, standing firmly by her side. P. Madhavan was a textile shop owner in Neeleswaram, Kasaragod, running Supriya Textiles. Despite the demands of managing a business, he always made time to support his daughter’s aspirations. Kavya, the daughter of Madhavan and Shyamala, shone as a star in school and cultural festivals from a young age.
