Ranbir Kapoor gets special birthday gift from Raha, chats with fans on Instagram live

Actor Ranbir Kapoor turned 43 on Sunday, and while wishes poured in from fans, friends, and the film fraternity, it was his daughter Raha’s sweet gesture that stole the spotlight.

Actor Alia Bhatt, his wife, took to Instagram to share glimpses of the celebration. The photo series opened with a serene shot of the couple enjoying a sunset together. Another picture captured a candid moment of Ranbir with Raha, while the final image featured a handmade birthday card by their little one, which read, “Happy Birthday…Best papa in the world.”

Alongside the pictures, Alia penned a loving caption: “happy birthday our whole and soul,” accompanied by a red heart and rainbow emoji.

Ranbir also surprised fans with a candid birthday message online, where he spoke about ageing and the growing grey in his beard. The Barfi star admitted that despite these changes, his heart is brimming with gratitude—for his family, friends, work, and, above all, his fans. He appeared in an exclusive livestream on the official handle of ARKS, a lifestyle brand owned by the actor.

In the viral video, Ranbir was heard saying: “Hi, I want to take this moment to say thank you to all of you for all the love and wishes coming to me on my birthday. I’m 43 years old today. As you can see, a lot of grey in my beard; it keeps increasing year by year. But a lot of gratitude in my heart for my family, for my friends, for my work, and mostly for all of you guys. Thank you so much for your time. You make me feel so special.”

Later in the day, Ranbir stepped outside his Mumbai residence to greet the media gathered there. Dressed casually in a red T-shirt and jeans, the Brahmastra actor welcomed everyone with folded hands and even cut a large birthday cake to mark the occasion.
