‘Lal-Salam’: Mohanlal honoured by state government in star-studded ceremony

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated ‘Lal-Salam’, an event organised by the Kerala government on Saturday to honour Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, who recently won the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his overall contributions to cinema. The veteran star received the award from President Droupadi Murmu during the 71st National Film Awards ceremony in Delhi.
Who all are attending the event?
Several renowned artists, including actors and singers, attended the ceremony alongside prominent political leaders. Mohanlal's co-stars Urvashi, Manju Warrier, Parvathy, Shobana, Ambika, Karthika, Meena, Lissy, Ranjini, Ramya Krishna, Shwetha Menon, and Nithya Menon, were among those were invited to share their memories and tributes to the actor.
In addition, ‘Aadam Namukku Paadam,’ a musical tribute directed by T. K. Rajeev Kumar featuring songs from Mohanlal’s films and sung by a lineup of celebrated singers — Sujatha Mohan, Shweta Mohan, Sithara, Arya Dayal, Manjari, Jyotsna, Mridula Warrier, Nithya Mammen, Sayanora, Rajalakshmy, Kalpana Raghavendra, and Disha Prakash — was staged as part of the celebration.
