Kochi: Actor Jayasurya is all set to return as the iconic Shaji Pappan in ‘Aadu 3’, a big-budget film written and directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas. The actor’s signature look, the thick moustache and black mundu, is already trending online.

After three years, Jayasurya has shaved his beard, which he had grown for his film Kathanar. He announced Shaji Pappan’s comeback through a transformation video on Instagram, captioned, “Pappan returns after eight years.”

The video also shows Jayasurya video-calling the film’s co-producer Vijay Babu and director Midhun Manuel Thomas after transforming into ‘Pappan’. Following ‘Aadu’ and ‘Aadu 2’, ‘Aadu 3’ is being made on a grand scale as an epic fantasy film featuring Jayasurya, Vinayakan, Vijay Babu, Saiju Kurup, Sunny Wayne, and Indrans.

The film is jointly produced by Venu Kunnappilly’s Kavya Film Company and Friday Film House. ‘Aadu 3’ will hit theatres worldwide on March 19, 2026. The makers have also unveiled a new poster along with the release date. This marks the 23rd production venture of Friday Film House.
