Malayalam’s all-time blockbuster ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’ has locked its OTT release. Written and directed by Dominic Arun, ‘Lokah’, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen in the lead roles, is the first instalment of a planned five-part fantasy cinematic universe.

JioHotstar, on Instagram, shared a post: "The beginning of a new universe. Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra — coming soon on JioHotstar." Although there are reports suggesting that the movie will release on the streaming platform on October 20, these are not yet confirmed.

Beyond Malayalam, the film has also become a major pan-Indian hit in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada. The story drew inspiration from the folklore of Kalliyankattu Neeli, a legendary figure in Kerala’s history. The film also stars Chandu Salimkumar, Arun Kurian, Sandy Master, and Nishanth Sagar, among others. Distribution in Kerala was handled by Wayfarer Films.
