Hollywood actor Jacob Elordi shared insights about his role in the much-anticipated third season of the drama series 'Euphoria', revealing that it allowed him to explore something entirely new. Speaking to Variety on the Academy Museum Gala red carpet, Elordi described the experience as transformative.
"It was incredible, man... It was incredibly liberating. I got to play something so sort of far out from what I’ve done before," he said, adding that the creators have "constructed something incredibly clever and cinematic" and that he’s confident audiences will enjoy it.
Elordi further mentioned that his character’s arc in the upcoming season was more contained. "I had a really singular storyline. You don’t know what the other story lines are. It’s like FBI files. So it’s great because I’ll get to consume the show the same way that everybody else does as a fan, which I haven’t been able to do before. I’m really excited," he added.
Created by Sam Levinson and inspired by his real-life experiences with addiction, 'Euphoria' follows a group of teenagers in the fictional town of East Highland as they navigate love, identity, loss, and substance abuse. The HBO series, headlined by Zendaya, also features Hunter Schafer, Barbie Ferreira, Maude Apatow, Alexa Demie, and Sydney Sweeney.
Elordi portrays Nate, a character central to the tension between Maddy (Demie) and Cassie (Sweeney) — one of the key storylines in season two. The show debuted in 2019, with its second season airing in 2022. Production for the third season began in January.
