Althaf Salim, Anarkali Marikar reunite in 'Innocent' as makers announce release date with unique poster

Actors Althaf Salim and Anarkali Marikar, who charmed audiences with their chemistry in ‘Mandakini’, are reuniting for their upcoming film ‘Innocent’. However, the two won’t play a couple in the film as hinted in the unique ‘Save The Date’-themed announcement poster featuring Althaf and Anna Prasad. The film is slated for a worldwide release on November 7.

Earlier, the film’s first-look and second-look posters—showcasing social media sensation and Tanzanian talent Kili Paul in his acting debut—generated significant buzz. The trailer too, promises a thoroughly entertaining experience. Jomon Jyothir, Azees Nedumangad, Mithun, Noby, Anna Prasad, Lakshmi Sanju, Vineeth Thattil, Ashwin Vijayan, Unni Lalu, will play prominent roles in the film.

Kili Paul recently impressed viewers with the classical rendition of 'Kakke Kakke Koodevide...', which went viral on social media. The seamless transition from classical music to the fast-paced number 'Pottas Pottitheri...' from the film was also well received. The film's third song, 'Athishayam', crooned by musical talents Hanan Shaah and Nithya Mammen, and the folk-style number 'Ambampo…', sung by Reshma Raghavendra, have also garnered attention online.

Produced by M Sriraj AKD under the banner of Elements of Cinema, the film is directed by Satheesh Thanvi. Notably, this is the first production venture of Elements of Cinema, an institute that offers students the opportunity to learn filmmaking while working with established actors. G Marthandan, Ajay Vasudev, Dixon Poduthas, and Najumudheen are the executive producers in the movie. The story is by Shihab Karunagappally, with screenplay and dialogues jointly crafted by Shihab, Sarji Vijayan, and Satheesh Thanvi. The film is entirely a comedy entertainer.
