Ahead of the release of the much-anticipated horror thriller 'Dies Irae', the film’s cast and crew, along with superstar Mohanlal, have changed their social media display pictures. The move has sparked speculation about whether Mohanlal will appear in the film.

Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, 'Dies Irae' features Pranav Mohanlal in the lead role. The release trailer of the film was unveiled on Saturday. Sharing the trailer on his X handle, Pranav wrote, “#DiesIrae release trailer. In cinemas worldwide from Oct 31!”

The newly released trailer opens with Pranav Mohanlal anxiously looking around as a series of eerie visuals unfold. A haunting voice-over proclaims: “The mighty trumpet's wondrous tone shall rend each tomb's sepulchral stone and summon all before the throne. Both heaven and earth will lie in ashes. Full of tears and full of dread is that day that wakes the dead.”

Reportedly based on true incidents, the horror thriller is set for a Halloween release this year. 'Dies Irae' is produced by the same team behind 'Brammayugam', which starred Mammootty in the lead.
