Actor Bala and his wife Kokila recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary. In a video, Bala thanked fans for their support and love and shared the struggles they endured during the first year of their marriage. Bala also said they refused to give up on their relationship and remained close, despite the difficult situations.

“Namaskaram, today is our first wedding anniversary. As we look back, we faced issues that most couples don’t experience. Instead of leaving for our honeymoon, we were dealing with police cases and court issues. However, the positive aspect is that we didn’t give up and decided to support each other. Though October 23 marks our first wedding anniversary, it feels like we have spent a century together. We are grateful to everyone who prayed for our happy marriage,” Bala said.

Bala and Kokila tied the knot on October 23, 2024 at the Kaloor Pavakkulam temple, Ernakulam in the presence of close relatives and friends. Kokila who hails from Tamil Nadu is Bala’s first cousin. This is Bala’s third marriage. Kokila had previously revealed that she had known Bala since childhood and claimed that she had been with the actor when he was alone and unwell. Bala also said he failed to recognise Kokila’s love initially and only realised her deep affection for him after reading her diary.
