Kajol, Twinkle Khanna face online backlash for infidelity comment in 'Two Much'

Kajol and Twinkle Khanna are now the hosts of the latest show ‘Two Much’, featuring chats with celebrities from the film industry. While responses to the show are mixed, their latest episode with actor Jhanvi Kapoor and Karan Johar as the guests has drawn criticism, especially for their comments on infidelity.

In a clip taken from the original video featuring Karan Johar also as a guest, Kajol and Twinkle can be seen asking the guests if they agree or disagree whether emotional infidelity is worse than physical infidelity. Jhanvi who recently acted in ‘Param Sundari’, stated that she believed both were wrong and neither could be called worse than the other.

Jhanvi’s response to the situation has been hailed by social media users who feel that the younger actress has a matured take on relationships, unlike the senior actors who kept trying to justify that physical infidelity can be forgiven while emotional infidelity is the deal breaker. Twinkle even claimed that Jhanvi was making the claims because she was 20 and her opinions would change by the time she was 50. "She will come in our circle once she reaches her 50s," Twinkle stated and even joked, ‘What has happened has happened’.

One psychologist went to the extent of saying that the statements made by the actors was normalising disrespect. "So basically, your partner will physically sleep with someone else and you will forgive him and that's normal? Well, that's not forgiveness, that's emotiona suppression. When you start justifying cheating and betrayal, you also normalise disrespect," she said on her Instagram page.
