Kamal Haasan’s production banner, Raajkamal Films International, announced on Wednesday that it will be presenting superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film, #Thalaivar173. The film is yet to be named. According to a statement from the production house, the film will be directed by Sundar C.

“This landmark collaboration not only unites two towering forces of Indian cinema but also celebrates five decades of friendship and brotherhood between superstar Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, a bond that continues to inspire generations of artists and audiences alike,” the release stated. The project also marks the 44th anniversary of Raajkamal Films International. #Thalaivar173 is expected to hit theatres during Pongal 2027, with distribution by Red Giant Movies.
