The makers of 'Kathanar' have unveiled the character look of Anushka Shetty. The actor plays the role of Nila in the big-budget film. 'Kathanar' also marks the popular South Indian actor’s debut in Malayalam cinema.

Directed by Rojin Thomas, the film narrates the story of Kadamattathu Kathanar. Planned as a two-part project, the first instalment is getting ready for release. Along with Anushka Shetty and Jayasurya, Prabhu Deva also plays a major role in the film.

The film will be released in about 17 languages, including Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, English, Bengali, Chinese, French, Korean, Italian, Russian, Indonesian, Japanese, and German. It is produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Gokulam Movies.
