After its success at the Kerala State Film Awards, ‘Bramayugam’ has achieved international recognition. The acclaimed Malayalam film will be screened at the prestigious Oscar Academy Museum in Los Angeles under the museum’s “Where the Forest Meets the Sea: Folklore from Around the World” film series on February 12, 2026.
With this selection, ‘Bramayugam’ becomes the only Indian film featured in this category. Producer Chakravarthy Ramachandran had earlier teased a major announcement from the ‘Bramayugam’ team through a social media post, stating that the update would be revealed later in the night.
Responding to the post, director Rahul Sadasivan playfully commented, “Sir, this is cheating... You said we will share this with fans at 10.30 pm.” Chakravarthy replied that he couldn’t wait any longer to share the news.
Their light-hearted exchange on X quickly caught the attention of fans, triggering speculation across social media. Many users guessed that the update might be about a coloured version of the film or a possible sequel.
The suspense ended when the team officially announced that ‘Bramayugam’ would be screened at the Oscar Academy Museum — marking a proud moment for Malayalam cinema on the global stage.
