Two Malayalam films have been selected for the competition category at the 30th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) 2025. The chosen films are 'Life of a Phallus', directed by Unnikrishnan Avala, and 'Khidki Gaav', directed by Sanju Surendran.

A total of 12 films have been selected under the Malayalam Cinema Today category. These include 'Ebb' (Jeo Baby), 'Pennum Porattum' (Rajesh Madhavan), 'Samstha Lokah' (Sherry Govindan), 'Ambrosia' (Aditya Baby), 'Kathirippu' (Nipin Narayanan), 'Shavapetti' (Rinoshun K), 'Aadi Snehathinte Virunnu Mesha' (Mini I G), 'Sheshappu' (Sreejith S Kumar, Gritto Vincent), 'Anyyarude Aakashangal' (Sreekumar K), 'Oru Apasarpaka Kadha' (Arun Vardhan), 'Moham' (Fasil Razak), and 'Chavu Kalyanam' (Vishnu B Beena).

'Pennum Porattum', directed by actor Rajesh Madhavan, marks his directorial debut. The film is produced by Santosh T. Kuruvilla under the banner of STK Frames, with Binu George Alexander and Sherin Rachel Santosh serving as co-producers.

None of the films selected for IFFK have been released in theatres yet. The 30th edition of the Kerala International Film Festival will be held from December 12 to 19, 2025.
