Kavya Madhavan pens heartfelt note on her late father’s 75th birthday

Actor Kavya Madhavan shared a heartfelt tribute to her late father on what would have been his 75th birthday. In her emotional note, she reflected on how she had planned to celebrate this milestone occasion with a grand gesture, only to realize that her father, who never celebrated his own birthday, would not be there to join her.

Kavya’s Instagram post read: “Today is Achan’s 75th birthday — a day he never remembered or celebrated. His happiness was always found in us. I had hoped to celebrate this special day in a grand way this year and had quietly made a few surprise arrangements. I secretly prepared for his 75th, to honor the man who had always made my own birthdays so memorable. But now, he’s no longer here. I bow to the memories of my beloved father, who will forever shine like a light in our hearts.”

Kavya’s father, P. Madhavan, passed away in June this year. A constant source of strength for the actress from the time she began her career as a child artist, Madhavan was her steadfast support, accompanying her to filming locations and guiding her through life’s challenges. Kavya has often spoken movingly about the crucial role her father played in shaping her career, particularly as she transitioned from the rural village of Neeleshwaram to become a leading actress in South Indian cinema.

Madhavan was also a successful businessman, owning Supriya Textiles in Neeleshwaram, Kasargod. Despite his busy schedule, he always encouraged his daughter’s passion for the arts, and Kavya became a star performer at school youth festivals.
