The makers of the upcoming thriller ‘Vilaayath Buddha’ recently released the character poster of Anu Mohan, who plays Ani in the film. The movie features Prithviraj Sukumaran in the role of Double Mohan, a sandalwood smuggler. ‘Vilaayath Buddha’, directed by Jayan Nambiar and produced by Sandip Senan under the banner of Urvashi Theatres, is set for a worldwide theatrical release on November 21.

Based on the acclaimed novel ‘Vilaayath Buddha’ by G. R. Indugopan, the film adaptation brings the story to life under Jayan Nambiar's direction. Priyamvada Krishnan plays the female lead. The previously released posters, teaser, and the song 'Kaatturaasa' have already gained wide appreciation on social media. The promo song's location stills, which were recently unveiled, have also drawn attention online.

Following the success of ‘Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum’, ‘Sathyam Paranjal Vishwasikkuvo’, and ‘Saudi Vellakka’, ‘Vilaayath Buddha’ marks another grand project under the Urvashi Theatres banner. The film is jointly produced with A V Anoop for AVA Productions. The screenplay is written by G R Indugopan and Rajesh Pinnadan.

‘Vilaayath Buddha’ is presented as a gripping thriller that weaves together themes of revenge, rivalry, and love. Set against the sandalwood forests of Marayoor; described as a land of the gold-yielding trees, the film unfolds an intense and emotionally charged narrative. Alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film features Shammi Thilakan, Anu Mohan, Rajashri Nair, and T J Arunachalam in prominent roles.

Jakes Bejoy is the film’s music director. Arvind Kashyap, cinematographer of ‘Kantara 1 & 2’  has joined Renadive for the film's cinematography, while Kashyap handled the camera for ‘Bell Bottom’, one of the hit movies in Kannada.
