Filmmaker Vinayan has heaped praise on Honey Rose, who is set to appear in the upcoming film Rachel. The veteran director expressed his confidence that the movie will be a commercial success, highlighting the actor's outstanding performance. He also noted that Honey Rose earns more from inaugurations than some of the highest-paid actresses in Malayalam cinema.

“Rachel exceeded all my expectations. Honey has done an incredible job portraying her character. It’s a serious film, and the crew has faced significant challenges to bring it to the screen. Films like this have the potential to be revolutionary, and I speak from experience when I say that. I commend the filmmakers for choosing such a unique and bold theme,” Vinayan said.

The director fondly recalled that Honey Rose first met him on the sets of the 2002-03 Prithviraj-starrer ‘Meerayude Dukhavum Muthuvinte Swapnavum.’ “Her father wanted me to cast his daughter as a heroine. At the time, I told him she was too young and needed to mature a bit. A few years later, as discussions for ‘Boyfriend’ with Manikuttan and a few newcomers began, her father approached me again. That’s when I decided to cast her in the movie,” Vinayan shared.

Vinayan also mentioned Honey's impressive earnings from inaugurations, saying, “Honey makes more money in a single year from inaugurations than the highest-paid actresses in Malayalam make from ten films. There’s a great joy in seeing smaller films achieve massive success. I started with comedy films, then came the horror film ‘Akasha Ganga.’ But ‘Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njanum,’ made on a modest budget of just Rs 35 lakh, ended up being a much bigger success than all of them. It’s no small feat that such a film went on to collect Rs 3.5 crore back in those days. I sincerely hope that Rachel achieves the same level of success.”
