As excitement builds around the release of ‘Varanasi’, Priyanka Chopra has called working with Mahesh Babu, Prithviraj Sukumaran and director SS Rajamouli “a privilege.” The global actor shared a series of photos with the trio on Instagram, reflecting on the rare opportunity to collaborate with stars from both the Telugu and Malayalam industries.
Priyanka wrote that joining forces with “these two legends” for a Rajamouli film felt special. She also described promoting ‘Varanasi’ with the team as “incredibly exhilarating,” especially since they are engaging with international media almost a year before the film hits theatres.
She added that witnessing the early response to the film has been “truly amazing,” promising fans that the team will live up to their expectations. Her post ended with a note of gratitude: “By God’s grace, we will live up to your expectations. Jai Shri Ram. #Varanasi.”
The actor also made waves at the grand title and teaser launch event in Hyderabad. On Instagram, she treated her followers to behind-the-scenes moments from the day, including clips of her practising Telugu for her speech at the event. “It’s more difficult to speak Telugu in front of a live audience than in a movie,” she admitted while getting ready.
Another snippet showed her rehearsing her entry, going over her lines with the ‘RRR’ filmmaker, and discussing cues with co-star Mahesh Babu. Addressing the massive crowd later, the ‘Barfi’ actor said, “I am so happy to be back, making this movie in my beloved India.”
