From 'The Pet Detective' to 'Stranger Things Season 5': New OTT releases this week

It’s yet another weekend, and movie buffs can look forward to watching some of the latest releases that have finally arrived on OTT platforms. Here’s a list of films to make your binge-watching experience better.

The Pet Detective (Malayalam)
Sharafudheen leads the film as Tony Jose Alula, an underperforming private detective who spends most of his time waiting for a case big enough to prove he’s not a failure. When he finally lands a seemingly harmless missing-pet assignment, Tony believes his moment has arrived. What he doesn’t expect is how fast everything will spiral out of control. Anupama Parameswaran joins him in the cast, along with Vinayakan, Vinay Forrt, Shyam Mohan and Joemon Jyothir, each adding to the film’s eccentric energy.

Stranger Things Season 5 Part 1 (English)
Stranger Things is gearing up for its long-awaited final chapter, and Season 5 arrives as the week’s biggest release. Set in the fall of 1987, the story picks up after the chaos left behind in Season 4. Hawkins is cracking open under the pressure of the expanding Rifts, and the gang reunites with a single goal in mind: track down Vecna before the town falls apart.

With the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaching, the stakes climb even higher. The military is closing in on Eleven, tensions are spiralling, and the group knows this will be their last real fight together. As her friends plot out their most dangerous rescue effort yet, Eleven pushes her powers harder than ever, hoping she can finally end the battle that has haunted them for years.

Aaryan (Tamil)
Actor Vishnu Vishal and Selvaraghavan’s ‘Aaryan’ has now made its digital debut, arriving online nearly a month after its theatrical release. The film also stars Shraddha Srinath and Vani P Bhojan in key roles, with Tarak Ponnappa, Abhishek Joseph George, and Mala Parvathi rounding out the supporting cast.

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari (Hindi)
