It’s yet another weekend, and movie buffs can look forward to watching some of the latest releases that have finally arrived on OTT platforms. Here’s a list of films to make your binge-watching experience better.
Dies Irae (Malayalam)
Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, the film follows Rohan, played by Pranav Mohanlal, an affluent architect whose life begins to unravel after the sudden death of his ex-girlfriend Kani. What starts as a visit to her house soon turns into something far more unsettling, as Rohan begins sensing an unseen presence in his own home. The line between grief and the supernatural blurs, forcing him to question what really happened to Kani and why her spirit seems unable to move on. His search for answers draws him into a world of uneasy truths and wandering spirits caught in limbo.

The Girlfriend (Telugu)
‘The Girlfriend’ tells the story of Bhooma (Rashmika Mandanna), an MA student whose life takes a turn when she falls for Vikram (Dheekshith Shetty). What starts as a typical college romance soon delves into themes of self-discovery, love, and the challenges of setting and maintaining personal boundaries.

Starring George Clooney and Adam Sandler, the film follows an ageing movie icon who sets off on a spontaneous trip across Europe with his ever-faithful manager by his side. As they move from one city to the next, the story slips in and out of the past, using flashbacks to trace the decisions, relationships, and missteps that shaped their lives.

Kuttram Purindhavan: The Guilty One (Tamil)
Starring Pasupathy, the web series is set in a quiet small town shaken by the disappearance of a young girl after a suspected assault. At the centre of the turmoil is Bhaskar, a retired police officer who conceals crucial information to shield his ailing grandson. While the girl’s mother searches in fear and grief, Constable Gautham doggedly follows the trail, determined to uncover what really happened.
