Mohanlal joined the final schedule of ‘Patriot’ on Saturday in Kochi, and Mammootty personally conveyed his congratulations on the same day.

Director Mahesh Narayanan and producers Antony Perumbavoor, C.R. Salim, Anto Joseph, Kunchacko Boban, Ramesh Pisharody, S.N. Swamy, along with Kannada actor Prakash Belawadi and cinematographer Manush Nandan, were present for the memorable meeting between the two legends.

‘Patriot’, which reunites Mammootty and Mohanlal after seventeen years, features an ensemble star cast including Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, Revathy, Darshana Rajendran, Sereen Shihab, Jinu Joseph, Rajiv Menon, Danish Husain, Shaheen Siddique, and Sanal Aman. The story and screenplay have been penned by Mahesh Narayanan himself.

The film has completed shoots in Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Delhi, Sharjah, Kochi, Ladakh, and the UK, with the final schedule currently underway in Kochi. Scenes featuring the Mammootty–Mohanlal combination are being filmed during this last phase.

‘Patriot’ is slated for a global release during Vishu 2026.
