Actor Lijo Mol Jose receives first delegate kit as TVM gears up for 30th IFFK

Thiruvananthapuram: With just one day remaining until the 30th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), the distribution of delegate kits was officially launched on Thursday at Tagore Theatre, Thiruvananthapuram.
2024 State Film Award winner Lijo Mol Jose received the first kit from Culture Affairs Department Director Dr Divya S Iyer, signaling the start of the disbursal process. Dr Divya, who inaugurated the IFFK delegate cell, described the festival as "a celebration of the entire world."
After receiving the kit, Lijo Mol shared her memories of attending IFFK before entering the film industry. “My colleagues and I would work early morning shifts so that we could attend the festival post-noon. We made sure to watch every film possible, running from theatre to theatre,” she said. Lijo Mol added that she hoped the festival would continue to serve as a platform for meaningful discussions, discovery, and exposure.
The event was chaired by Cuckoo Parameswaran, vice-chairperson of the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, with Academy secretary C Ajoy introducing the festival. K Madhu, chairperson of KSFDC; Madhupal, chairman of the Cultural Workers’ Welfare Fund; and General Council Members B Rakesh, K G Mohankumar and Sudheer Karaman were also present. General Council member G S Vijayan delivered the vote of thanks. The 30th edition of IFFK will officially kick off on Friday with the screening of the opening film, ‘Palestine 36.’
