OTT watchlist: Keerthy Suresh’s 'Revolver Rita' and 'Andhra King Taluka' lead this week’s releases

With several strong films currently playing in theatres, a fresh lineup of movies is also making its way to OTT platforms this weekend. From Malayalam to Telugu, here’s a look at some of the notable digital releases to watch out for.

‘Revolver Rita’
'Revolver Rita' is a Tamil-language crime comedy film starring Keerthy Suresh, alongside Radhika Sarathkumar, Sunil, Redin Kingsley, Mime Gopi, and Sendrayan, among others. The film is directed by J K Chandru and blends crime, comedy, and thriller elements. The story follows three women whose lives are disrupted by the intrusion of an intoxicated thug, leading to a series of unexpected and intense events. The film is currently available in all South Indian languages, but won’t be streaming in Hindi at this time.

Stranger Things Season 5, Volume 2
'Stranger Things Season 5, Volume 2' is set to drop on December 26 featuring an ensemble cast that includes Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Cara Buono, Linda Hamilton, and Jamie Campbell Bower.
The first volume was released on November 25 and consisted of four episodes. Volume 2 arrives with three episodes, while the final installment of the series is scheduled to premiere on December 31. According to sources, the first volume has performed exceptionally well financially for Netflix, and the upcoming volumes are expected to generate even more buzz among fans worldwide.

‘Andhra King Taluka’
This action-comedy Telugu movie written and directed by Mahesh Babu Pachigolla follows the life of a superstar whose golden days are behind him and he is at the brink of major loss when his 100th film does not have any funding. The movie features Ram Pothineni, Upendra and Bhagyashree Borse in lead roles, while the movie also explores the fan culture in Telugu movies.

This Tamil film is the latest addition to stories centered around a middle-class family man who dreams of owning a farm one day.
