‘She rises, and we rise with her.’ This powerful line accompanies the special video of actor Bhavana from her upcoming film ‘Anomie,’ directed by Riyas Marath. The makers describe ‘Anomie’ as featuring one of the most layered performances of Bhavana’s career, with the actor playing the character Zara Philip.

The introduction video and character poster were shared by filmmaker Amal Neerad, presenting Bhavana in a striking, strong-willed avatar. The visuals quickly gained traction on social media, with many resharing them using the tag Avalkoppam. Anomie also stars Rahman in a pivotal role, along with Vishnu Agasthya, Binu Pappu, Shebin Benson, Arjun Lal, and Drishya Raghunath. The film’s technical crew includes cinematographer Sujith Sarang, music composer Harshavardhan Rameshwar, and editor Kiran Das.

This film marks Bhavana’s 90th outing and celebrates her 23-year journey in Malayalam cinema. Notably, actors Suriya and Jyothika also shared the video, which carries the caption 'Anomie – The Equation of Death.' Promising a dark thriller tone, Anomie signals Bhavana’s return to the genre, reminiscent of her recent appearance in Shaji Kailas’s Hunt. The film will hit theatres on January 30.
