Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga rang in the New Year by sticking to a tradition he has quietly made his own. At the stroke of midnight on January 1, he unveiled the first poster of his much-anticipated next, ‘Spirit’.
The striking poster sets the tone instantly. A wounded Prabhas is seen standing by a window, bare-chested, dressed in off-white trousers and dark glasses, a bottle of liquor loosely held in his hand. Triptii Dimri appears beside him, lighting his cigarette, dressed in a beige outfit accented with a gold bangle on her right wrist. The visual leans heavily into mood and tension, hinting at the intense world the film is expected to explore.
Sharing the primary look on social media, Vanga wrote, “INDIAN CINEMA…. witness your AJANUBAHUDU / AJANUBAHU Happy New Year 2026 (sic),” instantly setting social media buzzing.
‘Spirit’ marks the first professional collaboration between Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Prabhas. The filmmaker, however, has previously worked with Triptii in ‘Animal’, which starred Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna, and went on to become one of the most talked-about films of 2023.
Earlier, on Prabhas’ birthday on October 23, the makers had offered a glimpse into the film’s world with a promotional teaser titled ‘sound story’. The audio-led reveal featured the voices of Prabhas and Prakash Raj, introducing the tone and atmosphere of ‘Spirit’ without revealing much about its plot.
Apart from Prabhas and Triptii, the film also stars Prakash Raj, Vivek Oberoi, and Kanchana in key supporting roles. With its intriguing first poster and a team that has already sparked high expectations, ‘Spirit’ is shaping up to be one of the most closely watched Indian film projects currently in production.
