Bhavana to reprise Trisha's role in '96' remake

The romantic drama '96' starring Trisha and Vijay Sethupathi received much applauds and got good reviews for its realistic making.

Directed by debutant C Prem Kumar, the film was recently in news for its Telugu remake.

Now, reports are rife that '96' will be remade in Kannada with the title '99'. The remake will be directed by Preetham Gubbi and will feature Golden Star Ganesh and Bhavana in the lead roles.

Bhavana had earlier worked with Ganesh in the 2012 movie 'Romeo'.

Reportedly, Bhavana has watched the original film and was impressed. According to reports, the remake will not be an exact replica of the original.

Produced by Ramu Enterprises, the movie will go on floors on December 17 and is slated to release in March.
