Katrina will win National award for this film: Salman Khan

Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are amongst the most popular onscreen couples and the duo are ready to dazzle the box office with their upcoming flick 'Bharat'.

While all of us are aware of the fact that how much Sallu bhai adores Katrina, here's a proof that he is smitten by her acting skills too.

During the song launch 'Zinda' from the film, Salman Khan could not stop praising his co-star’s performance. He said that Katrina had worked very hard for the film, and so if anyone would win the National Award, Katrina would definitely bag it!

Salman had his funnybones when he further proclaimed that he is not Katrina's 'bhaijaan' (brother) and instead Kat was 'meri jaan' (my life).

The actor even joked about PeeCee on her leaving the fim. He said “Thanks to Priyanka, this film was supposed to be a comeback for her into Bollywood, but due to personal reasons she had to walk out of the fim.”

Katrina, on the other hand, was in awe of the script, when diretor Ali Abbas Zafar approached her. She said that it's a very strong female-centric role. She has already been praised for her simple looks and unblemished Hindi in the trailer.

The film is inspired by the 2014 Korean film, Ode to my Father. The film also stars Jackie Shroff, Tabu, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover and Nora Fatehi and is slated to hit screens by June 5, 2019.
