Those who captured the video can be heard trying to confirm Vishal's identity. “Bro, is that Vishal?,” one of the men asks his friend. His friend quickly calls out Vishal's name. Vishal, who turns to look at the camera, suddenly covers himself with a hoodie and runs away to avoid getting caught on camera. The video was reportedly captured during Christmas since both Vishal and the woman were dressed in red hoodies.
The video has received various responses from netizens, with some accusing the youth who captured the video of invading the actor's privacy. Others, however, maintained that the video was part of a promotion strategy for Vishal's next film.
“Great promotion strategy? Which film,” asked one user. “But why to cover and run? Is this some kind of promotion?,” asked another person. Celebrities have recently resorted to quirky ways to promote their films on social media and many people think this could be the same. Vishal was last seen in the commercially hit film 'Mark Antony', which featured him and S J Suryah in dual roles.
