Singer Vaikom Vijayalakshmi marries artiste Anoop

Popular singer Vaikom Vijayalakshmi got married to mimicry artiste Anoop on Monday morning at Mahadeva Vaikom temple, Pala.

Amid huge rush, the wedding ceremony took place between 10.30 and 11.30 am. Apart from family and celebrities, many people rushed to the wedding venue to get a glimpse of their beloved singer's special moment.

While Vijayalakshmi was spotted in a red-golden pattu saree, Anoop was seen in a simple white shirt and mundu.

Earlier, the engagement took place on September 10.

Vijayalakshmi, also an expert of a musical instrument called Gayathri Veena, came to Malayalam cinema through her much-noticed rendition of ‘Katte Katte’ for the film 'Celluloid'. She won the Kerala state award for best singer for her rendition of ‘Ottaku Paadunna’ for the film 'Nadan'.
